FEES PAYABLE TO TETRIS TUTORS

Fees will be calculated at a rate per hour of tutoring. No further fees will be charged for the traveling or preparation time of the tutor unless we have otherwise specified traveling costs to the client. Fees may be adjusted from time to time and shall become effective after having given the 30 days written notice.

PAYMENT METHOD

Lessons must be paid upfront for the month. An email invoice will be sent at the end of each month for the following month. E.g An invoice will be sent out at the end of January for all February lessons. Payment needs to be made by the latest, the 5th of that month. Cash or EFT payments are accepted. All payments can be made directly to Tetris Tutors. The company will be responsible for paying the tutors directly.

If payment is still outstanding by the end of the month, another 10% will be added to the initial fees.

CANCELLATION OF LESSONS BY STUDENT

The student/parent may cancel lessons by giving 24 hours prior notice to the tutor, lessons are however paid upfront each month so it is the client’s responsibility to see if the tutor would be able to assist them on another day. If lessons are canceled within 24 hours of the lesson, then students forfeit the lesson.

CANCELLATION OF LESSONS BY TUTOR

The tutor may cancel lessons by giving 24 hours prior notice to the student/parent. Where a lesson was pre-paid, the tutor shall reschedule the appointment at a time agreeable to both parties.

LATE ARRIVAL

Fees are calculated according to the times stipulated in the schedule and no adjustment shall be made for time lost because of late arrival by the student, (unless previously requested in writing). Any lost time because of the late arrival of a tutor shall be compensated for by extending a lesson by such amount of time that was lost.

CANCELLATION OF PRE-SCHEDULED LESSONS

If you have pre-scheduled a lesson for the month e.g Monday 2:30-3:30, then that session is closed off to other clients. If you are no longer able to make that time session, a months’ notice must be given, via email only to cancel. Fees will not be refunded if the cancellation is made within a month.

OBLIGATIONS OF THE TUTOR
* The tutor will do all preparation before the lessons and will structure lessons in such a way that the student gets maximum benefit from their time together.
* The tutor will keep all information regarding the student confidential.
* The tutor will not assign any of her duties to a third party unless permitted by the parent.
* The tutor will at no time be required or obliged to execute homework or assignments on behalf of the student.

OBLIGATIONS OF THE STUDENT
* The student/parent undertakes to assist the tutor in identifying problem areas in which their child/children needs specific assistance.

* The student/parent undertakes to assist the tutor in identifying problem areas in which their child/children need specific assistance.
* The student agrees that assignments, exercises, or homework form an integral part of tutoring and accepts responsibility to complete work timeously.

NO WARRANTIES

The tutor makes no promises or warranties with regards to a student’s performance as a result of any tutoring provided.

STATUS OF THE TUTOR

It is understood that the tutor retains the services as an independent contractor and not as an employee and will therefore not be paid a set salary.
